British Justice Sector Development Programme Access to Justice for the People of Sierra Leone

The British Justice Sector Development Programme (JSDP) is a 6 year project funded by the Department for International Development. The aims of this project are to improve safety, security and access to justice for the people of Sierra Leone. The programme is managed by the British Council. Technical assistance and capacity building services are required to deliver this area of JSDPs work. These services will involve designing and implementing interventions to:
  1. Improve parliamentarians understanding of the established legislative process and their role within it thereby strengthening their ability to initiate, review, debate and amend legislation.
  2. Improve the effectiveness of parliament by introducing civil society and expert opinion during the legislative process.
